Faculty of Social Sciences

Britain’s University of Opportunity holds nearly two centuries of academic excellence. Part of the Faculty of Social Sciences, the University of Wolverhampton Business School and Law School both continue this tradition, training thousands of aspiring local, regional and international managers and lawyers to meet the needs of our global society.

Curriculum for the business leaders of tomorrow

A dedicated faculty - comprised of respected figures in multinationals, public sector and non-profit organisations - constantly develops and refines the curriculum and syllabus of the Business and Management courses on offer here.

From BSc (Hons) International Business Management to its Master’s in Business Administration to other diplomas and certificates, their expertise ensures students get the most up-to-date knowledge and skills in the business world today.

Meanwhile, its Management Research Centre (MRC) conducts specialist research that aims to provide solutions to current managerial issues relevant to specific professions and/or types of organisations.

A globally-facing legal education

The University of Wolverhampton Law School has over 50 years’ experience in empowering students throughout the UK and countries like the US, Trinidad and Tobago, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

With skills that are highly-valued and actively sought by potential employers, your prospects begin to soar from the moment you enter this tight-knit, friendly and innovative learning community. The School is leading the way in training future lawyers and has most recently designed its LLB Law degree to prepare students to undertake the new Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).

At the forefront of employability development

Both undergraduate and postgraduate students receive a range of employability initiatives and business engagement opportunities. Undergraduates spend between a few weeks over the summer to a whole year in work placements and internships to apply the skills learnt in their courses, as well as enhancing their resumes and employment prospects.

Postgraduate students here benefit from several employability schemes, such as volunteering, guest lecture series, PGCert Employability and Enterprise and workshops for international students about how to search for employment and volunteering opportunities in the UK.

A campus and town to build valuable connections in

The schools are housed in the Lord Swraj Paul and Mary Seacole Buildings, both located in the heart of the university's City Campus - Molineux, right next to Wolverhampton Wanderers' Molineux Stadium. The £18m, six-storey Business School building is home to an executive education suite, innovative teaching and learning spaces, an IT suite, consulting rooms and a central social space and café. Here, both business and law students have a central location to engage with their respective professional communities.

“The facilities here are fantastic,” said Joshua Chadwick, an undergraduate student pursuing a BA (Hons) International Hospitality Management.

The City Campus is located in Wolverhampton, a city in the heart of England and within 20-40 minutes from Birmingham, England’s second-biggest city. Beautiful places surround the campus, as well as excellent transport links for students to explore the whole country. This is the place to be if you’re looking for multiculturalism and a dynamic urban environment without the London price tag.
