Established in 1858, Saint-Denis International School is a private school with a Catholic ethos that welcomes all ambitious learners with open arms. Situated in the town of Loches — approximately half an hour south of Tours in the UNESCO-recognised Loire Valley — it follows the French National Programme leading to the French Baccalaureate for students in both General and Technical streams.

French as a Foreign Language
Saint-Denis International School’s established and officially approved (Label FLE) French as a foreign language teaching department ensures all international students quickly adapt to French school life while customising a curriculum best suited to their academic needs.
The school is home to two fully-equipped boarding houses, which are exclusively open to students in 6th grade/Year 7. The boys live on the same campus as the middle and high school in the town of Loches. Meanwhile, the girls reside in the countryside, just a five-minute bus ride away from the main school campus. Each home makes the perfect spot for evening study periods, special activities such as sports, birthday parties, artistic activities, and more.

The Loire Valley is a UNESCO worldwide heritage site filled with history. Students at Saint-Denis International School, which is surrounded by rich countryside, forests, cycle paths, streams and trails, enjoy a calm and safe living environment. The French National Education authority and College Board in the USA administer the B.F.I. This option compliments the French education system, known for its academic rigidity, with the more student-centred and enquiry based Anglo-Saxon method of learning. It is intended for motivated students who are interested in English and want to learn in an adapted school environment in order to attain a level of excellence in English.
