Chemical Engineering Bachelor of Science
World renowned faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, hands-on education based on industrial problems and real-world examples, and innovative research prepare students receiving a bachelor of science
in chemical engineering to solve problems and positively impact the world. Petroleum Engineering Bachelor of Science
The University of Kansas hosts the only petroleum engineering program in the State of Kansas and is home to the Tertiary Oil Recovery Programme. World renowned faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, hands-on education based on industrial problems and real-world examples, and innovative research prepare students receiving a bachelor of science in petroleum engineering to be leaders in the oil and gas industry. Graduates get placed at high rates in top tier graduate programs and major companies around the globe.
MS in Chemical Engineering
Students completing the MS in Chemical Engineering have the opportunity to choose from cutting-edge research pursued by renowned faculty in areas including bioengineering, catalysis, renewable energy, sustainability and separations. Students complete 21 hours of courses taught by faulty and have access to state-of-the-art facilities for research. Our Graduates are highly recruited by major companies around the world.
MS in Petroleum Engineering
Students completing the MS in chemical engineering have the opportunity to choose from cutting-edge research pursued by renowned faculty in areas including enhanced oil and gas recovery, unconventional reservoirs, oilfield chemistry, data mining and reservoir characterization, flow in porous media, and reservoir simulation. Students complete 21 hours of courses taught by faulty and have access to state-of-the-art facilities for research. Our graduates are highly recruited by major
companies around the world.
Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering
Students completing the PhD have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research with nationally and internationally recognized faculty. Dissertation topics may be chosen from areas including bioengineering, catalysis, renewable energy, sustainability, separations, enhanced oil and gas recovery, unconventional reservoirs, data mining and reservoir characterization, flow in porous media, and reservoir simulation. Research is conducted in state-of-the-art facilities and in collaboration with industry and other programs on campus including business, geology, pharmacy,
environmental engineering, and the medical school. Our graduates are successful in academia, national laboratories, and in major companies around the world.
