“Creating Value” is the core philosophy of Soka University of America. It begins with the unique and dynamic nature of the Soka learning community. You will meet, live, and learn in scenic Southern California with people from more than 35 nations and 40 US states.

Welcome to Soka University of America

Developing Wisdom

Soka faculty will help develop your ability to think critically and communicate effectively so you can lead with wisdom. A 7:1 student-to-faculty ratio and average undergraduate class size of 12 enable you to build close relationships.

Cultivating Courage

Encountering and learning from people in different cultures will challenge you to transcend your limitations. Undergraduates are required to study a non-native language and apply it during a study abroad semester in a country where that language is spoken.

Service and leadership are integral to SUA’s mission of educating global citizens committed to living contributive lives. Among the opportunities is Alternative Spring Break, a tradition of working for social justice in local and global communities.
